Greetings everyone,I am reaching out to you all, in hopes that you can attend Chief Anchia’s retirement celebration on Saturday April 15. The Chief is retiring after 23 dedicated years of service to the Hialeah Fire Department. I had the pleasure of knowing Chief Anchia for all the years of his tenure, but just recently I have known him a lot more personally. As I served as Union President, I had the honor and pleasure of working with him much more closely. In just a short amount of time, we developed a great relationship both personally and professionally.On a personally note, I would like to say that I appreciated the time he would take to always explain his side of things. Regardless of whether we saw things eye-to-eye, he would look at things objectively and make his decisions on what was best for the department, and the body. I would just like to say “Thanks Chief” for all the opportunities you have provided to help move the department in the right direction.
